Busy with the sea and its changing skies, end of the year atelier at pavilion ‘de zeester’ ?  My work is not very colorclear, but yes about the greytones.   A big drawing is more or less a bit of scratching with the sound of the  pencels (sounds like the branding?) and pastel on paper. After that I draw with colorpencels to correct the 'mistakes' I made; like a line that just ends or turns or those empty lines; when grafit doesnot write and notes. Used a gum today to get the beachy and the waves of the clouds more. After camac-calm-and-   (see other blog)  I work again in rectangles. This because of the horizon (the sea) is bold, from left to right, behind a  balustrade on a dune. The frame is also not square. So in short; despite the emptyness of the beach and the water there is enough in this drawing what expresses the desorientation. Egmond '13

(Sea in progress)  Ben bezig met die zee en met die wisselende luchten, eind vh jaar atelier bij paviljoen ‘de zeester’ huren! grappig.  Mijn werk is niet erg kleurgetrouw, wel de grijstonen.   Een grote tekening maken is toch een beetje krassen en strepen met het geluid van potlood (lijkt wel de zeebranding?) en pastel op papier. Daarna tekenen met kleurpotloden om de fouten te herstellen; van de lijn die zomaar eindigt of omdraait en van lege strepen; wanneer het grafiet niet schrijft en noteert. Heb vandaag ook de gum gebruikt voor het strand en de wolkenwaaiers aangezet of doorgezet.In navolging van de http//:camac-calm-and-   (see other blog) werk ik weer in ruitvorm. Dit komt omdat ik de horizon (de zee) bol zie, van links naar rechts, achter de balustrade op de duin. Het frame is net niet haaks. Kortom; ondanks de leegheid van het strand en het water is er genoeg in deze tekening wat de desorientering weergeeft. Egmond ’13
